R. (Reina) Sikkema MSc

Reina Sikkema is a veterinarian and researcher of zoonotic viruses at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. Following her studies Veterinary and International Public Health she worked as a veterinarian in the Netherlands and France. During that time she started to dive deeper into diseases that are transmissible from animal to human, first as consultant, then as researcher at the RIVM. Reina is also a part of the Knowledge Network Zoonotics Midden-Nederland, and is deputy for the group Public Health veterinarians of the European veterinarian association (FVE).
