Stéphanie studied Animal Management at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, followed by a master's in Animal Sciences at Wageningen University & Research. During her master she was interested in animal welfare and public administration and policy processes.
Between 2018 and 2021, Stéphanie worked as a project leader at the Westerkwartier Regional Cooperative, where she focused on a sustainable food system, nature-inclusive agriculture and animal welfare in livestock and horse farming. Together with various organizations, she sets up innovative projects. They all have the same starting point: sustainability of sectors and the region.
Stéphanie currently works at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences as a lecturer/researcher in policy & consultancy, for the Animal Management program in Leeuwarden.
