Ir. Pierre Berntsen

Pierre Berntsen is Director of Agricultural Businesses at ABN AMRO. He is responsible for the bank's policy and strategy in the agricultural sector. The sustainability of our food system and future-proof agriculture and horticulture are central to his work.

Pierre studied Agriculture at HAS in 's-Hertogenbosch and Zootechnics at Wageningen University & Research. He subsequently worked as an inspector at the Animal Health Service, where he was involved in the development of the IKB Pig program.

He also worked in the compound feed industry, where he focused on animal health. Through various organizations, Pierre gained experience in agriculture and food production in both developed and less developed countries.
