Malou studied Behavioral Biology at Utrecht University. She got a PhD at Wageningen University & Research for her research on measuring individual activities of broiler chickens as a predictor of health and welfare.
Currently, Malou works as a researcher at Wageningen Livestock Research, where she primarily focuses on using sensor technologies to map animal behavior.
